ASM Technologies Limited is looking to grow its Business Development team and wishes to appoint a new Business Development Manager to help grow and manage existing customers.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for further development of existing key accounts whilst looking to gain new revenue streams and striving to hit gross profit targets. Identifying new opportunities and maintaining a consistent sales pipeline of business across defined fiscal periods will be pivotal to the success of the role.

The successful candidate will understand ASM’s business model and continually meet or exceed customer expectations through strong and proven communication skills.

The role will require nationwide travel to support the named accounts.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Proactively work with existing customers and deliver on sales strategy
  • Manage the face to face relationship with the customer
  • Issue resolution
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Ensure customer service levels are meeting customer expectations
  • Attend regular site visits and customer review meetings
  • Communicate with internal account managers
  • Maintain and grow GP in line with targets set by the business
  • Attend customer events
  • Provide account mapping
  • Maintain and grow contacts database within the central ERP system
  • Provide reports to the business on activity
  • Generate and maintain pipeline
  • Work on up sell and cross sell of services and commodities

Skills/Experience:

  • External Channel field sales experience, 1 year minimum
  • Account Management experience
  • Good understanding of large resellers and System Integrators
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Consultative sales approach
  • Understanding of the end to end sales cycle
  • General knowledge of IT
